Our Birds

Our Birds

If you came to Camp Glory Farm, you would probably notice some fun, noisy birds running around.  They are called Guineas.  Some are white and some are a grey/blue speckled color.  These silly birds love to look at their reflection in anything that reflects, from a tire rim to a glass window.  They have been very useful around the farm though.  Some of their favorite foods are snakes, ticks, and spiders.

Our chickens are a variety of egg layers.  They love to wander around the yard looking for all kinds of bugs and worms.  One of our proud roosters, King Solomon, loves his wives and is sure to create a fuss if anyone upsets one.  Each year, we have the opportunity to hatch out some of our own chicks right here at the farm.  It is always exciting to see these new little ones born.

When you come to the barn, if you look just behind it, you will see a small pond.  On this pond swim five of our ducks, four females and one male.  Four of our ducks are Pekin, while one is an Indian Runner.  As they waddle around playing in puddles or dive deep for a fish in the pond, they are always a lot of fun to watch.
